KMC won award for best Medical services in the fields of Cancer, Heart and Trauma care at the Tamil Nadu Consumers Welfare Association’s R & P (Regd) Award Function on 29h July 2007. This award is being given once in two years in appreciation of various service organizations.
Dr.S.Manivannan, Executive Director of KMC, received the award from legendary playback singer Dr.P.Suseela. In recognition of its medical care facilities to the general public, KMC has been awarded consequently for the third time. Previously, KMC bagged awards for ‘Best Speciality Hospital in Trichy’ in 2001 for ‘Accident and Trauma Care’, in 2003 - 2004 for ‘Cancer and Heart Care’ and in 2005-2006 for ‘Cancer, Heart & Accident care’.
Since its inception in 1999, KMC has been providing topnotch medical services relating to Accident & Trauma Care. A case in point was a surgery performed by the Centre, in which a team of doctors successfully reunited a disengaged forearm of a patient.
In keeping with its policy of growth and development, KMC has added a super specialty department for treatment and care of cancer patients. The department offers comprehensive cancer treatments like Radiation Therapy, Chemo-Therapy, and Surgery. The integrated set-up in the department is a boon not only to Tiruchities but also to people around the district.
KMC is also a hospital for comprehensive heart care. KMC-Heart City, with all the Senior Cardiologists and Physicians of the City provides complete Cardiac Care. It offers a range of heart treatments, including Angiogram, Angioplasty, Bypass Heart Surgery and Valve Replacement Surgery. So far, it has done more than 2500 Angiograms and more than 500 Coronary bypass surgeries. |

| KMC hospital has one of the best IT departments in the Industry. KMC hospital has also been awarded the “Best IT user award” in the year 2005. During this process of selection, industries like Hotels, manufacturing units like BHEL, and other hospitals took part in the event. With the effective use of the IT department we are able to have a better control over the inventory, better cost control, better inventory control, which also helps for seamless transfer of information to the top management. |
