KMC Orthopaedic services have been at an exemplary level over the past seven years. KMC has given major attention in building up an advanced orthopaedic unit. This unit has served the public by rendering trauma and non-trauma services with latest technological input.

The orthopaedic unit forms a part of trauma team. Polytrauma cases have been managed with utmost care. Open fractures are managed aggressively without wasting any time and appropriate fracture fixations are done early. Multiple injured patients are also managed by fixing the fractures at the earliest in order to prevent the complications of polytrauma.

Hip, Shoulder and Knee replacement surgeries, complicated multi fracture management is also undertaken.

The use of 'C'-Arm, translucent operating table, laminar flow theatre, pneumatic drilling system, etc. has greatly improved the quality of management of these fractures. The sole aim of our orthopaedic management is 'early mobility' because 'Life is Motion and Motion is Life'. Our fracture management is backed by an excellent Physiotherapy department who work constantly in achieving our goal of early mobility.

Arthroscopy and arthroscopic surgery is one of the important subspeciality of Orthopaedics. Our orthopaedic department has the technical expertise and latest equipments including power shaver to perform most advanced arthroscopic procedures. We have also been concentrating on joint arthroplasty. Hip and knee replacements are done frequently at very affordable packages. Spinal procedures like lumbar discectomy, laminectomy, pedicle screw fixations, anterior fixations, etc. are done with the expertise of the spine surgical team and with the help of latest equipments.
